Intro to Computing is a DSST and it's easier than CLEP Information Systems and Applications; both are transcribed as COS 101. You have one too many 100-level courses in the area of study. This post will show you all the testing and Straighterline/ALEKS options for the area of study.

I see 18 UL credits in the area of study so I think that's okay. I agree about the DSST being easier than the CLEP but both are easy enough for anyone with computer knowledge. I would recommend FEMA credits to your friend to fill the free electives, they are free and can be retaken until passed.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

It looks like CLEP Human Growth/Development in the area of study and DSST Lifespan Developmental Psych in the free electives both count as PSY-211.

@lawenia
Good eye! I can't believe I missed that. I suppose I could replace one of them with the World religions DSST?
@sanantone
I updated the plan, and also moved one of the 100-level courses and switched with the free elective history ones. I guess it'd be easier to do the CLEP computers since college math, aleks, and the computer test could sort of all be done at once.

I would advise the DSST lifespan exam over the CLEP, and agree that you take advantage of femas for free electives.

BTW Aleks intermediate algebra transfers in as MAT115.

Why would it be better to take the DSST? I'm just wondering because I was planning to take both the CLEP for Intro to Educational Psychology and Human Growth/Development once I'm done with Biology.

With the number of psychology courses being considered, I would add DSST Fundamentals of Counseling (PSY 331 at TESC) to the mix and subtract Money & Banking. One can study HG&D,Ed Psy and that one at the same time. I took those 3 on the same day.

In my experience the DSST exams are much more straightforward; although the answers might be a bit trickier they are less wordy.

Unfortunately, not american. Can not take advantage of your wonderful FEMA program if i'm not a US citizen/resident.

@waldorfteacher
I think that course transcribes as below:
COU-262-DE Fundamentals of Counseling
DANTES
In the TESC catalog they consider it a 200-level.

Perhaps if I put world religions in there, could that count towards social sci upper level credit? It seems to be listed under Humanities though. That one is:
REL-405-DE Introduction to World Religions
