Haha! My MIL puts extras in there too! And she is NOT from Kansas, but from Delaware. I think they ship them down the coast, and then they migrate west. :roflol:

(Style note: It's "Yahd." We pahk in yahds. Bostonians don't actually "drop" their r's, though...it's part of an r-redistribution program. They're collected locally, then shipped farther west, where they're inserted as extra r's, such as in "warshing machine". My best friend, from Kansas, uses at least a couple dozen a day!)

LOL - the Massachusetts Department of Transportation actually types things like "Use Yah Blinkah" on those big digital signs over the highways. At my college son's orientation (downtown Boston), the powerpoint by Residential Affairs introduced the freshman dorm as "Bakah" (Baker, for us normal folk). It's...a little scary, sometimes.

Honestly, I kinda love the southern accent. If only there was a knob for *speed*, though.
