Are we breaking our word when we post reviews of our exams?
#1
After writing my review of the DSST Stats exam in the Specific Feedback section, it dawned on me that I might be breaking my agreement that I would not share any content info about the test....

Before I take each CLEP/DSST, the computer asks me to agree to a policy that says, in essence, that I will not share with anyone any portion of the content that was on my test. I don't remember the exact wording of the affidavit, but it made me pause when I wrote my last review.

So, to preserve the confidentiality of the exams, does this mean we should avoid revealing certain content material about our tests? Just asking...Rolleyes

EDIT: Just to clarify....I'm not asking about whether or not we should review exams - surely that's perfectly fine; just wondering whether we should broadcast which questions were on the exams.

I confess going with the herd on this one. I had asked myself the same thing, but "everyone else was doing it" so I figured someone else had already thought it out and concluded that it was legit. One thing I learned from studying for Business Law is that everything is subject to argument and interpretation. It would be nice to hear one of the 'elder' forum guys explain it.

The thought has definitely crossed my mind. I make it a point to emphasize what was most helpful in my studies rather than what was on my test.

A deep discussion of this issue transpired last year -- before it spiraled hopelessly off topic and solicited the admin lock-up. I believe the conclusion was that it is wrong to post a question with its five answer choices (which almost never happens). Someone (the administrator, I think?) eventually came in and said that College Board has been over this site with a fine-toothed comb and found nothing they object to.

I remember a previous post that gave very specific information on a question, probably a paraphrase from someone with a good memory.

Blink....

It disappeared.

I suspect the administrators made sure it was deleted in order to protect the site.

You can name general subject matter, and this versus that, but not specific questions.

Nice! It's good to know the administrator and moderators are on top of that.

And now, I'm off to read about the Lake Poets...again.
