I just found an interesting resource to look through for my social studies/history exam. The Guinness Book of World Records!hilarious
My practice tests had a lot of geography questions like "which is the largest...." "what is the tallest..." etc. and my son brought me his record book! It has wonderful factoids for the basics. A few goodies:
Hardest mineral- tallest mountain-longest river- most annual rainfall- deepest valley-largest deforestation-costliest natural disasters- largest lake- major seas- etc. I think this will be a good reference for natural sciences too, though I have not looked too much at the exam content.
Of course, you'll have to control your urge to see the most body piercings and world's longest toe nails. That can be quite a distraction!
