Another Old timer needing direction

UMPI will be cheaper, easier, faster than my previous alternative option. Before UMPI was transfer credit friendly, my recommendation to Supermind was a TESU BALS Psych in 9 months for $6K, Walden Masters Psych in 1 term of 6 months (finished in 4.5 months) for $6K.

While you're working on your Walden, I suggest you join PSI CHI Honor Society when you start Walden not when you finish. Lastly, I've recommended UCN PhD Psych for $9000, we haven't decided yet, it's from Nicaragua and has a partnership with a German Institution...

How does one complete the Psychology Minor at UMPI? It is not available in YourPace. Where does one complete PSY205 Lifespan Development and PSY311 Research Methods 1? Finding 3 classes from the list of options that will transfer to UMPI may also be challenging.

Sounds reasonable. I’ll get to work on it and let you know when, not if, I hit a snag.

Okay, so starting off, am I able to Clep anything? What do you suggest? Or just do these classes?
Also, I am not seeing a psych minor on UMPI, am I just missing it?

I have an admissions counselor meeting tomorrow morning with UMPI. I just submitted my application and transcript.
I guess I will see what they will let me test out of.

CLEP? No. Sophia and/or Study.com for any GEC you're missing? Yes. Make a spreadsheet to see what GEC requirements you're still missing. You can use https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quivalents to get started.

@Groovygravy et al, here's my January post in regard to UMPI Minors, Psych Minor is available but not for YourPace students, you can still get it though: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...or-Inquiry

@Groovygravy, are you still taking online courses at the community college? Do they offer a Research Methods (Psych) course?  The bulk of the Psychology Minor for UMPI can be done with Study.com already, the only course missing is a Research Methods, even though it is offered on Study.com, the transfer comes in as an elective.

You can always try to see if they will take it though, otherwise all the courses for the Psych Minor are available at Study.com to transfer into a BLS Psych Minor + another minor of your choice, such as Management. Sophia.org/StraighterLine also has courses that can go towards the Psych minor.

Speak with Jessica if you can use the Study.com course or take it at your community college for Research Methods, also ask they will take the CJ Research Methods at Study.com or their CJ Yourpace course.  You really don't need the minor, it's good to have, ask for alternative options if any...

Sophia.org/SL has a couple courses, Intro to Psych, Stats, etc but you may want to do everything at Study.com

Are there any news if UMPI will take the study.com course for research methods?
