I am new to InstantCert. I need to study for Analyzing and Int. Lit and I am not sure which course to study from. Any suggestions?
Thanks. Have a great day.

Unfortunately, I don't think InstantCert offers flashcards for this particular CLEP. I put my thoughts on this test and listed some helpful resources towards the top of this post ---->
http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...post136708 I found the REA guide to be helpful, as it includes some great practice tests. Also, see if you can get the Official CLEP Study Guide; it usually has a very accurate practice test. Quizlet has flashcards for this CLEP -->

You might want to take a practice test right off the bat to see how much study you still need to do. Who knows, you might score well and be almost ready for this test now—it's pretty easy

In the REA book look at the answers - it helps to know how to narrow down the answers and the book explains it.

The only other study resource I know for this exam is found here:
Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP Study Guide - Free-Clep-Prep.com
I don't know for certain on this exam, but you might find the video & quizzes for American & English Literature from
Education Portal useful too.

This test is one of the easiest ones to take. It's basically a reading comprehension test along with some literature terms (like simile, metaphor, free verse, blank verse, etc.). The free clep prep sight has some wonderful resources. Before I took this test, I read through this entire glossary (
Literature | Glossary of Poetic Terms). It was exactly what I needed. This is one test you don't need to stress over too much

The Official CLEP Study Guide is essential, but the latest edition is absolutely not essential. Get an older edition, even three years older. Older editions cost much less. The content changes very, very little from year to year.

Also, check your local library as I have seen older editions of the CLEP Official Study Guid (containing all of the CLEP exam titles) in our library. At a quick glance it looked like you could actually check it out (vs. being a reference book to stay in the library). If you have access to a copy machine, copy the practice exam pages and you are all set to mark the copied pages.
