I took the Principles of Advanced English Composition DSST a couple weeks ago. It's 63 multiple choice questions (no writing/essay portion) and I passed with virtually zero prep.
Just took Advanced English Composition today and passed with a 421. If you have taken any of the College Composition cleps or the written portion of Public Speaking DSST then this test is manageable with no prep time since there is a lot of overlap. I took this exam on a 1 day notice so it's a passable exam. Good luck
I took the Advanced English Comp DSST with 1 day of brushing up on terms and citing on the OWL website. The study guide I made myself is attached to this post.

Thank you for this! With this test being so new there aren't a lot of resources or practice tests. I went through your study guide over the last few days to prepare for my Advanced English Comp DSST and passed today. Juuuuust above the minimum score, but a pass is a pass!
