Hi there,
Because there was a coupon, I decided to take the Aleks courses now. I just started intermediate Algebra and I got a 73% on my initial assessment. Does this mean I can request my ACE credit?
I was wondering another thing. I want to take the following to fulfil the maths and Quantative Literacy requirements of the BSBA.
Intermediate Algebra
College Algebra
Introduction to Statistics
But now my question, I can use more Aleks courses to fulfil general education electives, right? I'm thinking about Precalculus of other statistics courses.
Thanks so much!
Goal: BA/BS in Psychology
Credit Sources

Yes, as long as you achieve a minimum of 70% on an ALEKS course, you should be able to request ACE credit. All the courses you mentioned should be able to fulfill your general education electives--I was able to get credit for Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Intro to Stats, and Precalculus on my Academic Evaluation (that was back in 2013, so you might want to e-mail Academic Advising at TESU and confirm with them).

Yes, you can go to ACE and request your credit now. Don't start another ALEKS course until you see the credit in the account.
Is this for TESU? If so, you can go on to take College Algebra, and then Precalc. Then, you can take any of the stats courses, but only 1 will count - I think Intro to Stats is the fastest (least number of topics). They are all Gen Ed/Math, so 1 will go to Quantitative Lit, 2 of them will go into the math requirement, and the last one will go to Gen Ed. If for some reason you can't get through Precalc, you don't have to take it.
Also, a quick note: if you want an easy 3cr, sign up for the Applied Math TECEP. It's an easy pass after completing Intermediate Algebra. If you don't mind another math exam, there's also the College Math CLEP (6cr).
I also recommend doing this kind of thing with computers; since you have to take 1 course, you might as well take 2 or more. The DSST/CLEP/Saylor all duplicate each other (COS-101), but the the TECEP is different than those 3 (CIS-107) and is another easy pass.
