I’m looking for cheap online masters in data programs aside from Wgu.
I would prefer if it’s more based on business analytics or bi rather than pure data. I finished my bs in business from umpi and while they are in the process of releasing a masters in business soon, none of the upcoming concentrations interest me and they take awhile to release new degrees. So the bi concentration they want to offer may very well not come out until spring, summer or fall of 2026.
Most of the masters in data programs I’ve seen are almost 15k and more which I can’t afford. So I’m wondering if anyone has other recommendations?

Check out Amberton University, Eastern University, Georgia Tech, Athens State University, and the University of West Florida. Nexford University if a non-RA, NA DEAC school would work for you. If a university in India would work for you there may be something there.

In addition to these ones mentioned, did you take some time to do a search on the board? I've created multiple threads in relation to different masters level options at several states, all of these are around 10K. I suggest those public/state institutions and the MOOC's from Coursera, EdX, etc. Many of them are under the 15K mark, you've not listed the info requested for in the addendum and template, nor informed us what institutions you've already searched, thus, if we make recommendations, it'll probably hit some of the ones you've looked at... It's best to provide a bigger picture of the situation, so we can advise accordingly.

Eastern University has a master's in data analytics that might interest you. I graduated from their master's in data science back in December of 2021 and it has served me well.
MS, Data Science, Eastern University
ALM, Information Technology, Harvard University
AB, Government, Georgetown University
In Progress: MS, Computer Science, Georgia Institute of Technology (Projected Completion 2027)

Eastern University has been mentioned above, already, it's also mentioned in this thread as well, you should review the threads I've linked, there are a few that are around 10K and all can be done in 1 year: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...cal-degree

Hi everyone, thanks for the suggestions. I'm also looking for an affordable program that has a strong focus on business analytics with practical applications. Are there any programs that offer good internship or hands-on learning opportunities?

It's rare to find an internship or hands on learning in online programs. Typically you have to do an on campus program for these. Master's programs are where you learn how to apply the theories behind the subject. You don't typically learn the same material in grad courses as the undergrad version where you're usually applying the theories and not really learning about the processes that created the theories. You're free to find an internship but they are difficult to get even in on campus programs. This is where networking could help you. Maybe look on LinkedIn for companies where you live and network to see if you can find an internship or hands on learning opportunity.

Thankyou. That makes sense about internships being harder to find in online programs. I’ll try using LinkedIn to look for opportunities. Do you know any online programs that have real projects or case studies instead of internships?

I have 2 master's degrees and did a number of case studies in both programs. They were part of many of my courses. Most courses had multiple case studies. Keep in mind that graduate case studies often involve writing long papers. Many people are surprised by the work involved in grad programs.
