Affordable Arkansas Degree Options

Let's take a look at institutions in the state of Arkansas this time
Similar to my previous posts, I am primarily looking at flagship or research institutions

Arkansas State University Online
They offer several affordable online Bachelors, Masters, Education Specialist degrees 
Example: MS Engineering Management: As few as 14 months Credit Hours: 30 Tuition: $9,510

U of Arkansas Online Offerings
Many of their Masters programs can be had for $383.88/credit, 30 credits, $11.5K
Example: MS in Construction Management, another in Engineering, and various others

UA Little Rock Offerings - Similar tuition as U of A at $383/credit, no extra fees, $11.5K
PhD in Computer & Info Sciences with two emphasis tracks, Info Science or Info Quality
75 credits total: 42 Dissertation, 21 Core, 12 Elective - $383 x 75 = $28,725

I would add University of Arkansas at Monticello to the list, even though it’s smaller.

MFA in Creative Writing Fiction, Poetry, or Creative nonfiction

-Completely online
-48 hour terminal degree
-276.30 per hour for Arkansas and Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri. Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana residents
-$13,262 total with no transfer/convention credit
-9 hours transfer credit (6 years old or newer)
-Can receive credit for things like literary conventions and readings

Hell of a good deal for an MFA, as not many are available 100% online. Add in 9 hours of literature courses from Fresno Pacific and it’s a great deal.

Just throwing it out there for any of the English majors in the audience.

To add on..........Arkansas State U has an affordable (still cheapest I have found from a state school) MPA program that is NASPAA certified. This is important if you are planning on going to Phd or applying for governmental postions/interships. They currently have two concentrations: nonprofit mgmt and public mgmt. with seven week classes. 

This degree is often referred to the MBA for the public/non-profit sector......think governmental, NGOs, hospitals etc......Extremely affordable and easier choice if tuition reimburesment is in play. Competes or interchangeable with the MBA and MHA in many regards dependent on the job role/organization. Good price point and state school.
