Received offer for job I did not apply for after receiving doctoral degree.
#1
I recently accepted a dream job that I didn't even apply for! I initially interviewed for a position leading one department. During the process, a highly respected panelist seemed unimpressed with my presentation, which left me disheartened.

Surprisingly, the CEO called me shortly after the interview, offering a different role. Less than 24 hours later, I received a generous offer for the COO position, with a 133% salary increase from my current job.

I am thrilled to join an amazing team at the end of this month. As Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart... and He will make your paths straight." I'm grateful and amazed at how things have worked out. ? You all are the gift that keeps on giving.
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

Road traveled: AA (2013) > BS (2014) > MS (2016) > Doctorate (2024)

If God hadn't been there for me, I never would have made it. Psalm 94:16-19

Congratulations on receiving such an incredible offer.
Is this new role related to your doctoral degree in any way?

It is. The organization I will work for is a national think-and-do tank, and its mission and vision, which largely concern public policy, relate directly to my degree.

Congratulations. I found on the other threads that your Doctorate is in Public Administration and your Masters is in Project Management. Out of curiosity, what Bachelor's degree did you get?

@soliloquy, Awesome! Just amazing how things work out in the end... Sometimes one person may seem uninterested, but others make up that one person, thus the reason for multiple interviews even. Was the CEO also one of the panelists? I'm also curious about your previous education, Road traveled: AA (2013) > BS (2014) > MS (2016) > Doctorate (2024)
