How long is it taking for Jessica to reach out after Transfer Credit Report completed

My Transfer Credit Report was completed and uploaded to Mainestreet two weeks ago. I have emailed Jessica three times with no response. It also still shows "None Assigned" under the Advisor part of Mainestreet.  Is this normal? How long did it take for her to reach out to you from the time your Transfer Credit Report was completed by the Registrar?

Jessica may not be your academic advisor. UMPI has hired additional academic advisors so everyone no longer has Jessica. You probably won't hear from anyone until the new year. They're busy wrapping up the on campus and YourPace Fall semester. You have about a month before Spring 1 so there's no rush. Yes, things take time at UMPI. It's a VERY small university with a small staff. It's also the holidays so the university is closed for several days and staff taking vacation time to be with their families. Patience is the key to success at UMPI.

That's correct, I would use the time now to make sure you create a spreadsheet and reference/track all your classes to the degree plans on the WIKI. Complete anything else you can transfer into UMPI before you begin classes in the next session or two, depending on which session you start. If you want, you can work on the trifecta of certs, degree, experience and mix/match that to your liking while you're waiting patiently...

Thanks.  Based on the WIKI, I believe I know what I still need to complete, and how to go about doing it.  I was just looking for confirmation from Jessica (or I guess any Advisor) that the Sophia courses would indeed satisfy the requirements.  

I had 98 total credits transfer in.  Many of them transferred as electives, with 28 credits being listed as UL Electives.  

Here is what the Transfer Credit Report says I have completed for the General Education Requirements:

With all this information, I was able to gather that below would likely satisfy what I needed for a BLS - Management degree:

Sophia Intro to College Mathematics - 3A,3B
Sophia Anatomy and Physiology I - 3C

Sophia Project Management - Counts as BUS 141 
UMPI BUS 240
UMPI BUS 260 
UMPI BUS 321

Then I would take any additional needed/required UL electives......


So again, I was just looking for confirmation from someone that this correct so that I could then sign up for Sophia and start on the Gen Ed classes.  I guess I just didn't want to pay for anything without that confirmation first...

It's great you're asking and getting confirmation, but the numbers don't add correctly, so asking again won't help at all... You mentioned you transferred in 98 credits, did all of them get placed into the degree, no. We need to know what transferred and what hasn't, how many credits left for transfer, what's remaining for the 30 residency credits. So, to help you better, you should attach your pdf/screenshot of the academic evaluation, one that the advisor provides you and has in yellow the remaining classes so we don't recommend duplicates that you have taken before. We need the full picture to complete the puzzle, not just parts of the puzzle...

Completely understood, and thank you!  That however seemingly puts me in the position of "hurry up and wait" as I would like to get going ASAP but do not have anything that an Advisor has provided since they haven't reached out yet.  I only have the Transfer Credit Report that was uploaded to Mainestreet.  I'm thinking more and more that it might be better to hold off enrolling until the next semester (I had originally planned to enroll for Spring 2024) in order to give myself enough time to get everything squared away that I need on Sophia/SDC.

You won't get a confirmation. It's up to you to review the transfer credit evaluation and if there's anything you have a question about, you ask your academic advisor about it. They have hundreds of students to advise.

@octoco, I would follow your post #4 and get those Sophia.org classes completed, then work on the remaining credits at UMPI.
