I am taking one course that starts in September. I hear some fill up quick, so I have 3 on my wish list as back up options!
Technically, you can't apply for a program out of the gate if you want to come in through the Extension option.
If I pass  my class with a B or better, it can count toward the application/entrance requirement. You need 3 courses (B or better, not B-) and one of those needs to be titled "Proseminar" which is billed as an intro to research/thesis/grad writing. IF I do make it through those, I can apply to the Masters in Liberal Arts (ALM) program. My concentration is undecided, depending on how my first three courses go.
You have to understand, that taking "a course" vs "getting into" the master's program are miles apart at this moment....but I'll keep you posted.
RE: Upper/lower division credit. MANY MANY MANY of the courses are offered for EITHER undergrad, grad, or no credit level. (anyone can take a course titled 115- the number doesn't means squat) You just pay more money for the grad level and the professor (I hear) may give you a little more work/tougher standards.
