At the bottom of this page you are encouraged to pre-register for the Certificate.  Presumably they will then send you new information as soon as it is available.

15 credits. I presume undergraduate level, though it doesn’t actually say. The course list looks interesting to me, even as someone who holds a couple business degrees, it wouldn’t overlap anything on my transcripts.

Actually, I'm guessing that it's graduate. In the initial link I shared, it mentioned that they would initially only be admitting graduates(and later admitting undergrads). ASU's similarly named undergrad certificate is 18 credits whereas the graduate certificate is 15 credits. Also, I compared the courses listed to some of ASU's other, similar programs and the courses resembled the graduate level courses more:

global management and entrepreneurship certificate(the one they're planning to launch)

  • Global Leadership in the Fourth Industrial Revolution

  • Customer Experience and Digital Marketing in a Global World

  • Global Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Business

  • Data Analytics and Digital Transformation in a Global World

  • Global Financial Accounting

Global Management, Certificate(undergrad)
Required Course -- 3 credit hours
  • TGM 101: Principles of Global Management (G) (3)
    Electives -- 15 credit hours
  • TGM 204: Principles of Marketing for Global Organizations (3)
  • TGM 300: Principles of Finance for Global Organizations (3)
  • TGM 310: Supply Chain Operations for Global Organizations (3)
  • TGM 312: Big Data in the Global Economy (3)
  • TGM 353: Regional Management Environment (G) (3)
  • TGM 468: States and Markets in a Global Economy (SB & G) (3)
  • TGM 478: Cross-Cultural Communication and Negotiation (3)
  • TGM 487: Global Entrepreneurship (3)
  • TGM 489: Multinational Organizational Leadership (3)

Global Management (Graduate Certificate)
  • TGM 545 Global Leadership and Strategy (3)
  • TGM 506 Communicating and Negotiating Across Cultures (3)
  • TGM 515 Navigating Global and Regional Business Environments (3)
  • TGM 517 Global Accounting and Financial Management (3)
  • TGM 557 Global Marketing and Data Analytics (3)
  • TGM 586 Global Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Business (3)

*disclaimer: this is all speculation*

About Thunderbird

I was reading up on ASU's Thunderbird school(the school within ASU offering this program) and learned an interesting piece of info below(emphasis mine):

Quote:The Evolution of Thunderbird

Thunderbird 1.0: Founded in 1946 on the grounds of a deactivated airbase (Thunderbird Field No. 1), Thunderbird was the first graduate management school focused on global business.

Thunderbird 2.0: The 1960s proved to be a time of global expansion for the institution. Thunderbird enjoyed steady growth and with that came a sense of identity in the world of international business education.

Thunderbird 3.0: By the 1980s, Thunderbird had risen to become a major player in the corporate and academic arenas, ranking #1 in the world for international management.

Thunderbird. 4.0: In 2014, Thunderbird joined Arizona State University, bringing the world’s #1-ranked Master of Global Management program under the umbrella of the university ranked the No. 1 “Most Innovative School” in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. With a new global headquarters on ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus and Centers of Excellence around the world, Thunderbird is now strategically focused on delivering the world’s finest leadership and management education for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

So it seems this free initiative is run by one of the top schools in their field. If it ends up being made of graduate courses, which it may very well be, they should transfer into the highly ranked MGM degree. Additionally, they may potentially transfer to ASU's MBA programs(also available online) through the W.P. Carey School which has pretty good rankings for a state university.

Interesting interview with some of the leadership spearheading the initiative. They give some more details on how the rollout will be.

I signed up to their waiting list and got the first email yesterday. It was basically a recap of this page https://thunderbird.asu.edu/lifelong-lea...n-learners and the associated articles. So no real update yet.

I'd like to highlight the fact that this is coming out of a state university system.  It's an impressive initiative and could become a template for future programs.

Well, I pre-registered too. This looks like it's going to be great! My major concern would be how I could possibly fit their courses into the already busy academic schedule I have planned for the next few years. I hope there's flexibility on the start and finish dates.
