So, it's $100/course, total would be $500 for the certificate... I was so thinking it would be like this, you'll need to apply and be accepted at ASU for a grad cert or masters program, and then you can pay for a transcript. So, roughly $500 plus application & transcript costs...

That is a logical step. I was thinking it might also include the cost of applying which was $70 or something, so maybe $570 and some change.

So we dont have evidence of anyone actually getting these on a transcript yet? Guess i will have to join the club of people to email ASU well. If this is $500 i am all for it .... Not $2500

For reference for everybody, I paid the $100/class evaluation fee about November 6 to November 9th 2024. Four of my courses were graded within 30 days, one professor took until mid Janaury (a little over 60 days to grade their course). I was originally wold I had to wait until February 3rd for my grades to be sent to the Registrar.
Allegedly the Registrar rejected it or something along those lines because now I'm at limbo with:
"Hi Michael,
Of course, we ran into a snag. I don’t believe the transfer credit fee portal has been opened. Each course will cost $500, so a total of $2500. I sincerely hope I am not the first person to tell you about the fee. Have you already paid this?"
I'm still waiting on any type of reply from ASU.
Just based on responses here, I may be furthest along with this process.
I just don't get why they would announce the payment portal was open last October/November as if they're ready for students but need to allegedly set up further payment portals.

Hey everyone, take it as you will, but this is the email I just got:
“ Yes, they are missing a large part which is number 8. Payment and time frame expectations.”
It sounds like it’s a ‘failed to mention’, and we are in f at looking at $3000 for this certificate.

Everyone is going to have their own voice on how they see what is happening and how ASU can do better... Here's the thing ASU has to think about... Affordable cost for prospective students versus possible revenue and/or profits. I wonder if ASU upper management or staff read this board or the sister forum. Here's an example of Sophia.org and how they changed their pricing model to achieve both...
Previously, Sophia.org classes cost $329 each, they had coupons to bring those to half price after you purchased a certain number of classes, 4 total. So, if they have a total of 1000 students purchasing a class, they just made $329,000. Changing it to an all you can eat subscription model, they have 150000 students paying $99/month, multiple months. A month with that number of students is already $14.85 Million.
Just yesterday, Study.com sent me a survey - not sure if it's for all ambassadors, but they're looking for innovative ways to help students. I quickly did the survey and mentioned this (in different wording): To further discount the monthly subscription fee for those who are from low income households and/or from nations that are less developed and keep their pricing structure, but give different number of classes. Example, currently it's $164.50/month with 30% off for 2 classes, those who fit in the low income category, gets 4 classes instead.
My recommendation or suggestion: ASU can do the following, $500 for all 5 classes for those who are in a certain threshold for income, and/or from less developed countries. They can then ask for $1K to those of us in the US or more advanced/developed countries. The more students they are providing this certificate to, will benefit the institution altogether. Example calculation below...
10,000 students paying $2.5K for the certificate =$25 Million
100,000 students paying $500 for the same = $50 Million
100,000 students paying $1K for the same = $100 Million

I have emailed multiple times with no answer, and called today with no answer (just countless transfers). I scheduled a meeting tomorrow, just waiting to see what that cost truly is.
