Hello Michael -
Thank you for your participation in the advanced program of the Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative (100ML).
Learners interested in obtaining academic credit for the advanced program can do so by following these steps:
1. Complete and submit the for-credit comprehensive written projects for each course.
2. Request evaluation of final projects and coursework by Thunderbird faculty for a final academic letter grade (Evaluation request fee required).
3. Apply and earn admittance to the graduate program at Arizona State University (Application fee required).
4. Request to obtain academic credits from ASU at a low cost for each course that has been awarded a satisfactory grade of B or higher (Credit processing fees are required for each course).
5. Once academic credits for all five courses have been attained, learners can choose to apply their academic credit toward Thunderbird's online graduate programs or transfer the academic credits from Thunderbird/ASU to an accepting accredited institution of their choice.
The payment system for academic credit attainment will be available soon. At that time learners who have completed all five courses in the advanced program will be notified provided with the next steps at that time.
In the meantime, we encourage you to connect with Thunderbird's graduate admissions team (admissions.tbird@thunderbird.asu.edu) to learn more about our online graduate degree programs, their costs, scholarship opportunities for 100ML participants, and how 100ML course credits (once obtained) may be applied to online Thunderbird programs.
For additional questions or concerns regarding our courses, please email 100mlsupport@thunderbird.asu.edu.
Thank you,
Notice there's no costs listed? Seems like a lot to pay for for a program that was supposed to be free.
To be fair, the program is free. They never said converting the free certificates to credit would be free. They always said for a fee, the certificates could be converted to credits. If you don’t need the credits but would like the knowledge and a certificate, that is available for free

Right but look at how many fees there are now. It seemed like the whole point of the program was to complete the certificate. Anyone can claim they took a class but without proof, you've got nothing unfortunately.

You get a certificate and a badge. It’s just not college credit for free. But still wish we knew the actual fees.

Hello -
On behalf of the Najafi 100 Million Learner Global Initiative at Thunderbird, we are pleased to inform you that the payment portal is now open for those who wish to request evaluation of their final assessments for their completed course(s) in the advanced program. Evaluation of final assessments is the first step required to obtain academic credit for courses completed through 100 Million Learners.
You are receiving this notice because you have submitted a final assignment in one or more of the 100ML advanced courses.
How to request evaluation of your final written assignments:
Access the payment portal: Visit the instructions page at the end of each advanced course in Canvas to find the link to the payment portal and detailed steps for requesting evaluation.
Submit evaluation request: Follow the provided steps to submit your evaluation request. Note: Each course evaluation requires a $100 fee to support faculty review and grading.
Review your score and feedback: Once evaluated in Canvas, feedback will be available for your review. You must earn a score of 80% or higher on the submission to pass.
Receive a letter grade: Your final evaluation score, combined with scores from other activities, will be used to determine the final letter grade for the course. To be eligible for academic credit, you will need to earn a letter grade of B or better in all courses.
Next steps in academic credit attainment:
Once you have completed all five advanced courses with a grade of B or higher, you will be ready to continue the credit attainment process. This first involves applying to Arizona State University and gaining admission to a qualifying Thunderbird graduate program. Upon admission, you can request that your credits from these advanced courses be applied to your Thunderbird degree program or transferred to another accredited institution of your choice.
To learn more about Thunderbird’s qualifying online graduate degree programs, their costs, scholarship opportunities for 100ML participants, and how 100ML course credits (once obtained) can be applied to our programs, connect with Thunderbird’s graduate admissions team at admissions.tbird@thunderbird.asu.edu.

Yes, their Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Here's some more info.
Follow these steps to request an evaluation of your final project by Thunderbird faculty:
- Access the payment portal: Go to the 100ML payment portal and enter the email associated with your learner profile.
- Select course to be evaluated: Verify your information and select this course as the course you'd like to have evaluated. At this time, we only allow requests to be submitted for one course at a time, so ensure you have submitted your final assignment for the course you have selected in the form.
- Submit payment: Follow the prompts to enter your payment information through the "QuikPay" portal. Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your receipt. Note: Each course evaluation request requires a $100 fee, which supports faculty review and grading.
- Review your score and feedback: Faculty will review your project and provide feedback in Canvas. You must earn a score of 80% or higher on the submission to pass. If you do not earn a passing score upon first attempt, you are allowed to resubmit your work (with edits according to feedback) at no additional cost only once.
- Receive Your Grade: Once you've earned a passing score, you will be awarded a final letter grade. Your final evaluation score, combined with scores from other activities, will be used to determine the final letter grade for the course. To get academic credit, you will need to earn a B or better.
- Apply and earn admittance to ASU: Once letter grades of B or better have been earned for all five courses, you will need to apply and earn admittance to Arizona State University under one of the following Thunderbird graduate programs:
- Master of Leadership and Management
- Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Obtain Academic Credit: Pending admittance to ASU, you will be able to request academic credit for the courses that may be used toward the Thunderbird program or transferred from ASU to an accepting accredited institution of your choice.
