Rasmussen has a lot of online degree programs. They specialize a bit in healthcare subjects but they've got a bit of everything.

Well, I guess that depends. If the purchase saves the school from going under then I'd say it could be a good thing. At the same time, it does mean that the new owner is a for-profit corporation and you can't be too sure what their plans might include. So I'm going to put it solidly in the middle of the "wait and see" category.

The plan to acquire Rasmussen was announced in October 2020. Now that the acquisition is complete, it looks like nothing will change right away. It'll be similar to Strayer and Capella. They operate as separate entities.

I hope this goes well for Rasmussen. They have some awesome programs. I hope this gives them the funding they need to continue to innovate.

It's impossible to figure anything out here! Anyone know how much it is to do a term (and length) for the Empowered Learning program? If they will take it, and how much ACE credit they'll take?

Only the competency-based BSN and medical assisting programs have subscription tuition. It's $3,500 per three-month term. The undergraduate programs are either $229 or $260 per credit. Yes, but it's not like being for profit is a bad thing. APUS already has a decent reputation, and Rasmussen will now have the same owners.
