Please do, that would be EXCEPTIONALLY helpful for many of us holding our breath!

I have unbelievably poor timing. I had been occupying myself with several TECEP exams, but just two weeks ago returned to the CLEP scene for my final CLEP exams. Today I purchased and scheduled A&I as well as Spanish I/II. I was counting on 18 credits (6 & 12) from these two tests.
TESC's website hasn't been updated, but I'm not optimistic. I'll post an update once my results are posted on my transcript.
BA - History, TESC
CLEP: Introductory Sociology (59), American Government (63), Biology (57), Principles of Macroeconomics (68), Principles of Microeconomics (71), History of the United States I: Early Colonization to 1877 (67), History of the United States II: 1865 to the Present (61), College Algebra (54), Introductory Business Law (66), College Mathematics (59), Humanities (57), Social Sciences & History (69), Natural Sciences (60), Spanish (55), A/I Lit (59), Western Civ II (53)
DSST: A History of the Vietnam War (449), Civil War/Reconstruction (438), Ethics in America (462), Intro Business (435)
AP: English Language and Composition, American Government, US History
Uni of Northwestern: Western Civilization
TECEP: Political Science, Computer Concepts, Comparative Politics, Environmental Science
UExcel: World Conflicts
Currently working on: ...UL history?...
109 credits down, 11 to go!

If you're confident about Spanish, there is a different test you can do. I don't have any first hand experience with it, but it's called New York University Language Exam and is worth up to 16 credits. Price is based on how many credits you're going for.

EDIT to add, yes, TESC accepts that exam for face value credits. ( They are also a testing center)

Checked the ACE website via the link provided but found nothing about a downgrade...did anyone recently take any of the exams listed here as downgraded?

CLEP has undergone their ACE exam review and a total of 8 exams have been DOWNGRADED the recommended credit value.
If you are not locked into/enrolled in a degree plan, the new credit amounts will apply.
American Literature DOWNGRADED from 6 to 3 credits.
Analyzing and Interpreting Literature DOWNGRADED from 6 to 3 credits.
College Composition Modular DOWNGRADED from 6 to 3 credits.
English Literature DOWNGRADED from 6 to 3 credits.
Humanities DOWNGRADED from 6 to 3 credits.
All three foreign language exams remain at 6 credits for a level 1 pass but DOWNGRADED to 9 credits for level 2 passes (scores vary-see link).

My college has only been giving 3 credits for these classes anyway. A few other schools I was looking at attending were also only gave 3 credits per test.
I think this was a long time coming.

My local Cal State University (which usually follows the pattern of all 23 CSU's, as there is a top-down policy about accepting CLEP's due to overcrowding) has downgraded all of those exams; nothing is now worth 6 credits, except that they kept the foreign languages to 6/12 credits. All sciences, maths are all 3 cr as well (and they don't even accept any of the general exams except Natural Sciences any longer).
They changed it as of 5/13. This is a big change!!

This is a bummer. I incorporated 4 of these 6-credit CLEP's into my degree plan but now I'll just be adding 4 more classes to my degree plan to make up for the 12 lost credits. Life goes on

COSC still accepted all my credits. I was just "formally" matriculated on the 19th of this month and I took A&I, English Lit, American Lit, and Humanities all before March this year. If that helps anyone... I was just glad that they still awarded me all the credits because six credit tests were a major part of my degree plan.
Also, I sent 84 credits to COSC and they were all able to be used for my degree plan. Sweet! And I'm sending nine more credit by exam credits that will all be able to be used. So my degree plan was obviously top-notch! Thanks Homeschool USA! Go there to create an amazingly accurate degree plan.
