ALEKS/TESC Psych - confused about which one I need
#1
Hi

I swear I DID do a search and read a bunch of threads and I'm confused because I'm seeing conflicting info......

I'm doing Psych at TESC. It shows I need "College Level Math Course" (I do not need anything higher than whatever the minimum requirement is)

Can someone tell me the lowest level of ALEKS that will 'count' for this? I thought (from reading one thread on here) that I needed College Algebra - but then I saw another thread that makes it seem like Intermediate Algebra might work.

Once I get something that will count I will never take another math class so I really just need whatever is the lowest level of Aleks that will count.

Thanks for your patience, I swear I DID try to find the answer before asking Smile

Intermediate Algebra is still a college-level math course. If pursuing the per-credit plan, once you have it knocked out I'd consider doing the Liberal Arts Math TECEP, as it's mostly the same and will be three more credits during residency.

I am enrolled on TESC BA Psychology and have ALEKS Intermediate Algebra sitting in the college level math slot.

Don't want to make you worry, but you're going to need Statistics too

Thanks!

yes, I know I will need stats. I'm not looking forward to it. But I took the assessment for Int. Algebra and got a 72, so I would LOVE to just use that and move on.

thanks for the info!

So, I got a 72 in Int Algebra on the assessment. then I went to the ACE site and did the request. Is there anything else I need to do with Aleks? some way to "finalize" it? or do I just let it sit there until ACE 'sees' it?

nevermind. Ace just emailed me that it was approved Smile
