Did ACTFL stop to give ACE credits:
for the web page of ACE i can see they stop to give credits. Will it stay this way or somebody knows if there will be a change and give credits again?

Ouch, from reviewing the detail on the link, seems like it for now... If that's the case, wait until they renew their ACE recommendation or wait until they at least extend the recommendation date while they're taking time to finalize the ACE course evaluations.

Looks like their ACE recommendations expired, unfortunately. Usually, they get extensions while they're in the process of renewing, but it's not happening now, so that means that they may have decided to let these expire, or more likely, that someone at ACTFL dropped the ball, and will need to do this once they figure out that they missed the deadline. Keep your eyes peeled in the next few months to see if there's a new date a few months out, which would show they're in process.

This is not the first time that the ACTFL exams have lost ACE credit recommendations. I would strongly recommend anyone who is even thinking about maybe taking the ACTFL at some point for credit to contact them about their situation.
Ever since ACE switched over to Credly, this type of thing seems more common for whatever reason.
In progress:

I know a little about how the ACE recommendation process works, and I don't think this has a single thing to do with Credly - Credly is just how we as users get to show our credits to others. Instead, it's mostly about the course/exam provider not being on top of things (person who was in charge of that left, those in charge may not want to pay the costs associated with this, people don't have this on their list of things to do, etc.). Because when course/exam providers think this is important, and are working actively to make sure their product stays ACE-recommended, it MAY get behind due to ACE issues, but then they get an extension until ACE does the review. When it completely expires, it's on the course/exam provider's end. The fact that ACTFL has let this happen in the past shows me that this is a them problem, not an ACE problem, and certainly not a Credly problem.

I got an email reply from ACTFL earlier today that they are in the process of ACE renewal, so it sounds like very good news.

That's expected, they would either be extending the ACE or renewing it... Just make sure to take the exam after they receive that update.

I certainly will! If they take too long, I might do the Spanish course bundle from Helsinki university. Seems like they have a few intermediate courses in a bundle of 15 credits that seem to be available in their open university. I would still much prefer the ACTFL because it will be faster than a course that might take a few months.
