Why? What will worrying do to ameliorate the situation?

One thing you can do if you are especially worried is to establish a OneTranscript at Excelsior. It might not solve all of the issues but it could save credits if one isn't going to be able to send them to a college otherwise any time soon. If you don't worry, you might not start a OneTranscript and could wind up losing a bunch of credits. You've essentially got about 3 weeks to decide what response you're going to have to the entire situation.

Perhaps this is a question of semantics, but that sounds less like worrying and more like actually doing.

Which was my point. Most of the responses here have been fretting about things, and very little in the way of developing solutions and alternatives. There's no point in worrying - either work out an alternative, or chill.

So I talked to Sophia today...

Sophia confirmed today they have no plans to transfer any previously completed courses done before November 1st to Acclaim. There are no plans to offer back support for this, to allow you to get transcripts through Acclaim (ACE certify).

Send from ACE now, or else lose the credit I guess :/

Sophia credits can be sent on an electronic transcript from Parchment for $5.25 so all is not lost with Sophia. Parchment is one of the three main electronic transcript services colleges use. This is going to be sooooo frustrating for sooooooo many people!

TESU unfortunately doesn't accept Parchment from Sophia. They stated if it's an ACE accredited course it has to be sent from Acclaim/ACE as the transcript, not Sophia on Parchment :Sad wonder if the same is true for the other two big 3.

Well, if I was worried, I'd do what I needed to.  Different things in different cases.

If I had Sophia credits I wanted to use in the future, I would call and make a fuss with Sophia and try to get them to get this fixed.  Saying everyone will lose their old credits is not acceptable (assuming you were going to a school that would not accept Parchment).  If I had Saylor credits, I'd contact them.  I'd call the Big 3 and see what they say to do.  Etc.

This will do exactly zero.  Most colleges will not take credit from an Excelsior Transcript.  They want credit from the source provider only.  This is a waste of your money, and I personally don't recommend this to anyone.

TESU may have to adjust. EC does accept Sophia transcripts from Parchment. I know because they accepted mine.

I kind of wonder if TESU will adjust to it, or just remove them from the partners list like they did with sdc.

You can still get badges added from November onward at Sophia, so TESU is unlikely to drop them. They could just say that it's not their problem that the course(s) haven't been put on an official transcript, though.
