ACE Credit Registry Change? Transcripts Services Ending

I passed Intro Stats yesterday and I was able to claim my badge.
There should be a "Get Your Badge" link by your completed course on your Sophia dashboard.

Hrmmm.... I logged into my Sophia account (it is not active) and inquired about how to obtain Credly Acclaim badges through the chat box. This is what they told me:
"Management has advised that courses completed prior to November 4 are not eligible for a Credly badge."

OMG this must be terrifying news for someone who has been earning credit before admitting to a uni... Are they going to insist on this policy after ACE Transcript service is shut down?

I asked "How will I get a transcript sent after November?" They gave me instructions for logging into ACE and ordering a transcript. I asked "Yes, but when this method expires at the end of November, how will I be able to send a transcript to a college after that point?" They said to just order the transcript before the end of November. They then said they would have their manager email me with instructions for how to order an ACE transcript.

I'm not trying to start a panic here. It could be as simple as their manager isn't well-versed yet on how this Credly transition is going to happen and is accidentally giving me bad information.

But I imagine if that really is going to be a hard policy, if we petition them enough, they will eventually concede to giving us badges. Maybe I just need to go up another rung of management...

What? This makes absolutely NO sense. Have you tried contacting ACE directly to see what they say? They might just point you back at Sophia, but... yikes.

I was able to add a Sophia Ethics to I passed 4 Nov, to my ACE account.

Has not shown up on Acclaim.

In Sophia you have to click a button for it to go to your acclaim.  If you click on the unoffical transcript of the class, there is a link at the top that says "Get Badge" or something like that.

There is nothing in Sophia in my completed courses to click on to add it to Acclaim. Clicking on the unofficial transcript link just downloads the transcript.

As far as I can see the "get badge" link shows up only for courses completed after November 4th or so.

Yes, there is definitely a disconnect here. It seems to me that ACE hasn't given enough thought to how people are supposed to get their old credits onto Acclaim/Credly. I hope they come out with a FAQ sometime soon, and address this.
