I have heard lots of people tell me who they will vote for, but I can't remember one person telling me why they like their candidate, what they tell me is why you would have to be crazy to vote for the other candidate. The winner of this election will not be the person most people like he will be the person less people hated. I find that a sad commentary on our next president.[/QUOTE]
Linda,
You have made a very valid point. I am short on time, have to get to work, but I will try to give you some reasons I am voting for McCain, not just not voting for Obabma. I am not trying to start another debate here but I believe Abortion is murder and McCain is pro life. I think with his military experience as well as time in ploitics he would be a great commander in chief. I believe he will put Americas needs ahead of the worlds and stand up to terrorist and other governments alike. I think he will try to cut pork and try to reform and reign in the out of control spending. With a Democratic Congress he will not be able to just push through whatever he wants so what he does push for will hopefully atleast be given consideration. I will write more when I have time but those are just a few reasons I am voting for McCain.

What is scary is Obama may have what Bush never did, a Super majority in Congress and Harry Reid, Nancy Palosi and Obama will be able to push through their whole socialist agenda. I am in no way defending Bush. He has spent spent spent, but whenever he tried to do anything signifigent(like reform fannie and freddie) the democrats filibustered. Like I was explaining to my wife last night, the next President will be appointing between 2-5 Supreme Court Justices and that will affect policy, such as Roe v Wade and the second ammendment.
Just wanted to add a note about the Supreme Court without weighing in on either side. Currently the Supreme Court is made up of what most consider 4 with liberal leanings and 5 conservative focused. It's likely the next two Justices to retire will be from liberal group. Should Sen Obama win, the court's makeup will probably remain unchanged. On the other hand if Sen McCain prevails, then the Court will most likely lean heavily to the right.

martialartist Wrote:These guys never really tried their utmost best to reign in Fannie and Freddie, did you not see the report about how there were republicans actively lobbying against the bill because of the links that they had with thses two companies? If they wanted to push that bill through they could have, the same way they got the Bush tax cuts through.
So, don't believe for one second that they really have that in mind. Fannie and freddie based on reports lobbied a few key republicans to make sure it was not passed.
The democrats are fully aware that if they screw up that they will be voted out in 2 years, so expect some good bills and reform to take place especially in the first 4 years.
Fannie and Freddie fell because of the Democrats especially Barney Frank. John McCain tried to get reform passed and was basically accused of stealing houses out from under deserving Americans. See a couple of quotes below:
These two entities â Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac â are not facing any kind of financial crisis, the more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.â
Barney Frank 2003 in response to Bush administration overhaul plan.
âI join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.â
John McCain
Just a few quick thoughts;
Barack has as a campaign advisor a top official of Fannie Mae, an economic advisor!!! Who by the way, made millions and millions from Fannie.
Barack Obama is 3rd highest on the list of recipient of PAC money from Fannie Mae. Barney Frank is number 16. Now they are blaming Republicans. Mr. Obama with his message of change, in bed with Fannie, has the nerve to criticize Bush and McCain who were trying to fix the problem. They didn't want change because reform would mean a slaughter of their cash cow.

I'm a conservative Christian so I definitely can't vote for Obama. The main reason being that almost everything he stands for is unbiblical, but besides that is illogical and harmful for our economy. Socialism is not the answer to our economic woes. Third party candidates are a wasted vote in my opinion, so I'm voting for McCain.

Don't worry, I think ACORN registered me around 30 times and submitted my early vote for OBAMA 20 times.
They probably registered you and submitted your fraudulent vote too. hilarious
