ENEB Master Thread

Has anyone completed a double masters of one the new programs? Are they still two separate diplomas or is it one single diploma for both?

Thanks for that, I had been waiting for some kind of confirmation Email. Logged into my campus and I get the same - can set the start date. Whoo-hoo!! The double Masters are bundled so they have to have the same start date, the single Masters get their own separate start date. You can set the start date to up to 2 years from today. Also you can start reading all the course material before you officially begin the course. Just hop on over to the sidebar for each module without clicking "start course", click on a module and then click on "course contents" which has a package emoji. I haven't tried it yet but I assume "start course" is really just to give you access to the information and submission of homework.

Guys, I am very impressed with the update to the ENEB campus. I started the new version of the old Hotel Management degree, which is now Revenue & Hospitality. The course contents look like they've been revamped and they start out by presenting an example case instead of the old method which was a general description of stuff like what the hotel industry is. You now have an "AI tutor" to help you study the material in each section and they present information in an "interactive" PPT-like window in the campus which saves your progress between visits. Instead of handing you a PDF to read they have broken it up into what I term "ADHD-friendly chunks" of just a few sentences per screen (there is an issue with the text getting duplicated in some pages). It's a huge update and no wonder they had such a backlog in processing diplomas and grades for all those months.

Unfortunately there is still the issue of some of the course contents being confusing because it's a translation of Spanish, it's like they simply forgot to translate some parts or note cultural differences. For example in my first module "Now we have a loan of $1000 from the bank, and we have 1000 box." The next page "Now we have 600 shoes and 400 box. We sell 200 shoes, and now we have 400 shoes and 600 box". I have no idea what is going on with this box thing, when did we first get boxes? Why did we gain boxes when we sold shoes? Are we not giving customers the shoe boxes when they buy the shoes? It doesn't really matter what Box is in order to understand their explanation of a balance sheet but it sure makes me feel like I should be hired as a proofreader...

I haven't done this course but it seems that "box" is a poor translation of $ in cash. Loan of $1000 -> $1000 in cash. Spend $600 in cash to buy 600 shoes (I assume for $1 each), so $400 in cash left. Sell 200 shoes (I assume for $1 each), so 400 shoes left and $200 added to cash (total $600). I assume they weren't trying to demonstrate how to run a business poorly for no profit, but trying to demonstrate how assets and liability movements work. 

I can definitely see how the poor translations might cause a lot of confusion though.

I went into my old, already finished degrees, including the old Hotel Management masters, and that has actually been revamped too, it has its own AI tutor as well.

I asked ENEB about the number of actual certificates and here is the response:

“you will receive your certificate electronically from ENEB and the University.  They will be written as a dual master together on the same certificate. Not separate.”

Maybe someone else can also ask and confirm.

Thanks for checking. While convenient as a bundle deal, some of their pairings don't make sense. When it's an MBA + Masters it might make sense as it might seem like an MBA specialisation, but not when it's two completely unrelated things, e.g. Team Management and Leadership + Sales Management and Marketing. It would look very random to have both of these on the same certificate.

Both eneb.com and eneb.es websites have been down with a 502 Bad Gateway error for at least an hour now. I wonder what they're cooking.

When it's an MBA + Masters it might make sense as it might seem like an MBA specialisation, but not when it's two completely unrelated things, e.g. Team Management and Leadership + Sales Management and Marketing. It would look very random to have both of these on the same certificate.

Related to this, has anyone tried to sign up for a double Masters combination that's not on the predefined list? For example, digital business + FinTech and Blockchain makes sense to me, but it's not an option on the website or in the sign up forms.

It's highly unusual to get a bad gateway error for a website update, if that's what they're doing. Both the Campus portal and Downloads portal still work though.

You can't. When you choose to register for your paid-for dual Master's it's literally a dropdown list of options. They have replied in the past saying there is no ability to make special combinations. Unfortunate because I would really have preferred something like "Revenue, Hospitality & HR / Team Management".

The double master booklet states that its a 72 ECTS program, so I think its considered a single program, I also saw that there is an option in ENEB marketplace for issuing a Special Certificate, may be this can be used to ask for issuing a separate master diploma for each program…???
