ENEB Master Thread
I can't help you with auto company stocks. That isn't really my thing, but I did predict that more for-profit colleges would be converted to non-profits. LOL

Everyone has thresholds.

For some it has to be ivy league. For others as long as a school is accredited its ok. We all have different thresholds for what is acceptable to us. Anything that doesn't meet our standard is deemed as substandard.

In the case of ENEB, before I joined the program I read through all pages from this thread and yes it met my threshold. Even with the exam only scoring it still meets my threshold for acceptability. I must thank all the kind hearted posters who shared their thoughts

Ultimately, if you are willing to entertain a $200 MBA, then you have to accept the risk that it may at some point either go boom or bust.

Excellent–it still has a long way to catch up to the non-profit closers that continue to stack up. However, that doesn't fit the narrative, so why bother keeping count?

With a heavy heart, I must say that ENEB seems to have taken a regrettable path in North America by implementing this 50 question evaluation, which I find disheartening especially as I'm in the midst of pursuing their programs.

In my opinion, as ENEB was growing and shaping itself into a respected institution, it stood at a crossroads. It could have either adopted the 'diploma mill' approach, focusing on high-volume sales, or it could have reduced promotions and aligned its pricing with other European MBAs, thereby distinguishing itself in the marketplace. Regrettably, it appears that they opted for the former, seemingly devaluing their academic rigor in the process. This, to me, gives an impression of an institution that struck gold unexpectedly and may possibly even cease operations in the near future, rather than become a leading educational reference. I find this to be an unfortunate strategic misstep, as they had potential to become a noteworthy contender despite the competition.

Like many others in this forum, I was genuinely enthusiastic about earning an their credential and leveraging it for career advancement. ENEB checked many boxes for me as a potential terminal degree. However, in light of recent developments, I have had to reassess my options. I may need to use the credits earned at ENEB towards another reputable MBA affordable program, such as the University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and reconsider featuring ENEB prominently on my LinkedIn profile and CV.

Despite appreciating the educational gains from ENEB's modules, I must admit that, had I been aware of these developments, I would have thought twice about enrolling. The sense of disappointment, even embarrassment, that I'm currently experiencing regarding this degree is amplified by the fact that my current company sponsored my studies. It's distressing, particularly because I had vouched for the validity of the institution at the time to them.
Hello my friend.

Please do not take this the wrong way but I would like to understand your post. I am not insulting as I appreciate that many people and companies circumstances are different. However, do you really mean to say your company sponsored your $300 course? That is chump change for most companies so I wouldn't be too embarrassed regarding the direction the course is taking.

They will be able to write it off quickly and it won't result in any embarrassment for you so don't stress.

No offence taken, and I appreciate your understanding.

My company, a well-respected institution, has several pathways for employee advancement. One of these includes an annual allowance of up to $1000 for recognized educational pursuits. I typically avail of this opportunity each year to secure industry-recognized certificates, primarily aimed at advancing my technical expertise. In exceptional circumstances, upon discussion with senior management, this allowance has been extended to cover expenses exceeding $1000. This avenue allowed me to obtain my BSc Degree from a legitimate, regionally accredited institution attending there in person, part-time.

Recently, after discussions with senior management, I had been contemplating leveraging this special provision to pursue a Master's degree. However, upon finding ENEB last year and recognizing its validity by other institutions in this thread, along with a learning model that better suited my schedule and learning style, I decided to defer my original plan. However, in light of the recent developments, it appears my initial enthusiasm may have been misplaced. Looking back, choosing ENEB does appear to have been a gamble (timewise) to the point that it does not resonate as a terminal degree on my profile anymore. Not comfortable carrying their brand in my CV, hence I'll be looking for options to use it alternatively.

What truly disheartens me, however, is the substantial amount of time I invested, only to be faced with these unexpected academic changes from them.

There's nothing wrong with having concerns, people! However, we need to wait and see. After all, the Universidad Isabel didn't end their collaboration agreement with ENEB.

Regarding Validential, several people stated their ENEB degree received a regionally accredited master's degree equivalent evaluation this year. Unfortunately, one user had a problem with Validential. That doesn't mean that Validential isn't still one of the best options for this degree.

One user shared the links about this new format to attain an ENEB degree. However, ENEB didn't publish this on any of their public webpages on their websites. The shared documents include one pdf from the ENEB English campus and one subscriber newsletter from the ENEB Spanish campus. Both links cannot be accessed from the English and Spanish websites at all!

So, I see two possibilities!

First, it's possible that they're testing a launch of a new format to a select group of their email subscribers. They are doing it to get feedback (and I wouldn't be surprised if they had an employee reading these forums).

Second, one or several of their accounts have been compromised. ENEB English and/or Spanish campus may still have some control over certain accounts, but a hacker could've gotten access to one or some of them and publish false information. Hackers do these things to extort companies and/or their customers for money. Example: You can take the bait and pay the extra fee and end up getting nothing. The hacker gets your money, and ENEB still expects you to submit your final writing projects.

Maybe it's one of the two possibilities or not.

As stated in an earlier post, I wouldn't worry about it this year. We need to wait and see! If this lingers into the next year, then I'd be more concerned.

If you already started your ENEB program, then finish it ASAP and get your Validential evaluation, and move on with your life.

I didn't say anything about closures, but since you brought them up, for-profit colleges are the ones overrepresented in school closures.

What was the issue with a recent user and Validential? Was it the reduction of credits awarded to equal 30 credits versus previous evaluations?

Did you forget to click the study? (the answer is Yep)– Let me help you with the research article that only favors your position if we are debating 2-year schools, which would be a silly and creative way to mislead the room. Even without the study, the data in the Forbes article should have caused you to want to dig deeper before posting.

'Out of the 467 closed institutions, the report considered, almost 50 percent were private for-profit two-year colleges, and 28 percent were private for-profit four-year colleges.'

Here's the study: https://sheeo.org/wp-content/uploads/202...eport1.pdf

Thanks for bringing the study to the forum, as it was enlightening.
