I gotta jump in here and say I'm a CP student and I love it! I would not be at the point I'm at without CP. They introduced me to all the testing out, TESC and all that good stuff. I am so relieved I found out about it because I was literally going to start taking classes at the community college up the road. O_O So glad I got out of that. Anyway, now that I've been in CP for a year I'm starting to want to break away and do it on my own. Because I've seen that it is possible from this forum. I think I'll encourage my friends (and siblings!) to try to do it on their own at first but if it's too much than do CP.
Honestly, sometimes I get tired of CP/my coach because it seems like they have one way to do things and it's the only way to do it. After checking out the IC forums I found that there were other tests that I could do, tons of resources I never heard of and just different options that I never thought I could do... Like the FEMAs for example. I have no idea why they don't encourage them... IC has showed me that it's really not that hard to get a degree the non-B&M way.
But I don't regret doing CP. I would still be on like my 4th test if I was doing it all by myself. Having a coach keeps me pressured to study and do well. Otherwise I would slack off and take months on one test. I actually know someone who did CP Prep but isn't doing it anymore. He's still testing though but I don't think he's making much progress. His mom told me that she misses the accountability of having a coach. It is true though that if you're very self motivated and can work with the extra research than you don't need CP.
