Starting with 0 or only a few credits, what is the fastest anyone has finished?

I'd guess if you started from not even knowing about the Big 3, and were a walking encyclopedia-eidetic-genius-person-thing, it would take a number of weeks to actual schedule all the tests, take them, get the transcripts where they needed to be, etc. That is assuming you can easily pass any test at the drop of a hat.

And that's the key thing the others mentioned. Speed with regards to this stuff hinges on how much you have in your noggin' before you start studying. For example, someone with years of experience in an accounting/science job that loves reading classic literature could possibly pass a lot cold.

If you are wondering how fast you could do it, I'd suggest just getting the CLEP Official Study Guide and do a ton of the tests with no preparation. Same thing with the DSSTs.
