I would call the financial aid office right away, they handle the approvals and administer the awards not the bursar. It sounds like something went wrong when you dropped the 1cr course. You are still a full time student (12cr) which more than qualifies you for financial aid. They probably only need do a manual adjustment.
Also the payment could have gone to your previous school in error. Or, final paperwork may have not been signed and returned. Again only a phone call to your financial aid dept will answer your questions.
