I recently got approval from my school for the two DSST exams: Modern Europe 1945 to present and Rise and fall of the Soviet Union.
Can you guys tell me how difficult these exams are in comparison to the Western Civ CLEP and in general? Are these two tests regarded as being really hard? What books would be good for them
I need to know this ASAP, please help!
I haven't done any research into the Modern Europe test yet (though I will need to, since my son plans to take it!) but I do have SEVERAL LINKS HERE for free resources to study for the Soviet Union exam, including reading materials and online flashcards.
Just FYI - The one (high-school-age) student I know who has taken the Soviet Union test told me it was one of the "harder" college-level exams she has taken, but she thought that might be because her world history studies didn't spend much time on it, and so she didn't have much background to draw on.
