10,000 is a lot more than you will need for the Spanish Clep. Also, are we talking a lexemic list or a crude list? It is, however extremely useful for me to know that such a list exists, either way. I'm trying to improve my French vocabulary by at least another 2,000 words before I take the French CLEP (next week), and am using a list of the 3,000 most common English words and translating them to French. Yeah, not the best way to do it, but its all I could find.
