Lindagerr: I'm a wee bit confused, when did any of the FEMA courses get ACE approval? That's simply fantastic news; however, I suspect all my courses would have been taken before the review dates.
That said, you are not suggesting that I could implement more than the 11 FEMA credits at TESC are you?
Forgive me if I'm coming off as dense, and thank you very much for the post!
BricaBrac: Thanks for the encouragement! I'm very grateful. I have one thing to compare CLEP to, and that is my IT certification tests from a couple years ago. That was a simply horrible experience, I didn't complete it (still have two tests paid for from years ago!), it's the only thing I ever did educationally that I didn't finish.
But maybe you're right, perhaps that was more difficult than this would be. I like concepts, and hate memorization and those tests were all about raw, arbitrary, memorization. Perhaps a less technical test would be easier on me.
If I were to fully utilize CLEP to replace FEMA I would save about $600 if I'm not mistaken. I believe I need about 15 credits from FEMA or another course in this plan. Hey with $600 I could pay over 2 and 1/2 % of my mortgage :-D
