Well, I did get an email back from them this afternoon on this. (And I will say that Emily and Patti in the admissions office have been incredibly helpful to me.)
Apparently you do have to wait until the unofficial eval, which is considered part of the actual application process, is done before you can actually enroll at EC. While I can see the reasoning for that, somewhat, I was hoping to get applied and enrolled so I could start my Research and Writing In Social Sciences class in January to get it out of the way. Guess I'll have to wait until March.. Actually, seeing that the end product of the 8 week class is an 8 page research paper, I might just wait until May, so it doesn't interfere with my GRE Subject study that much... Hurm.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
