All the CLEP tests are Lower Level, and most of the DANTES/DSSTs are lower level, but there are a few upper level DANTES/DSSTs.
It looks like you'd be able to clep out of basically everything except for Information Literacy, which you can take from Penn Foster or LSU and transfer towards your degree. PF's cost for the course is somewhere in the $90-100 range. Feedback from people who've done the course say that you can complete it anywhere from a weekend to about a week, depending on how you use your time with it.
Quote:Its been a while, Ive been waiting on Excelsior to tell me what to do next. It says I need 6 credits in Natural Science/Math distribution, 10 credits in Additional professional or Arts and Sciences, 1 credit in Social Science/History Distribution and 1 credit for Information Literacy. These are all I need to complete my associates degree. Can I test in all these and then enroll and turn them in??? Also which tests would be the best to take to get done quicklly? Thanks
6 credits Natural Sciences/Math - You could take the College Math CLEP or the Natural Sciences CLEP (or Biology or Chem and so on) which are 6 credit tests that would cover this requirement. There are also a few DSSTs that would fit this selection, like Astronomy/Geology/Physical Science but those are 3 credits each.
1 Credit Social Science/History - You have a ton of options here. All the tests are 3-6 credits, and I believe (I'm not 100% positive because I haven't been through the process myself as of yet) that extra credits will spill over into the next section.
10 Credits Electives - The sky is the limit here, any CLEP/DSST you'd like to take should be able to fit here.
Just make sure that you don't run into duplication with any existing credit that you have with your tests.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
