Thank you everyone! I'm so happy. And it is wonderful to have a group like IC backing you up regardless of what happens! God is good that I made it out alive and with that many credits.
I'm officially a college junior now. I think I'm the first one to reach that status of all my close friends under 25, thanks to CLEP, DSST, GRE, IC, and the grace of God (which doesn't have an acronym to the best of my knowledge).
Thanks again everybody!

VERY impressive and an inspiration to all those who have this on their list. Great Job!

Ok, I finally got up the courage to call and get my test score (thanks for the support Margo and Ruddigore - you guys are the best!) last night. And, I didn't do as well as I had hoped. I scored a 580 63%. Not my best performance. And certainly not what I was hoping for.
I had already resigned myself to retaking it in April so I think I might still do that. Before anyone posts that I'm crazy (which I am but that's besides the point ), I just need the UL credits. I don't care about the total number of credits - just the UL ones. There just are not enough UL Arts and Sciences tests out there. Waaah, waaah, waaah, right?
Anyway, I am very happy for my man, Ruddigore. Congrats to you, buddy. You deserve it - now get out there and find 1 major author class to cover that Eng Lit major! TESC has Jane Austen I think.
Best to all,
Kelly

Don't let it bother you, Kelly! That test was wacky. Not to mention you've got 90% of the knowledge and 100% of the experience you could ever want going into it again in April. Just gotta keep from forgetting stuff! (Quick: Who wrote The Lighthouse? )
Jane Austen is awesome. My secretary found an excellent thread on finishing up the Lit degree for GRE-ers: http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...major.html. She does a good job.

Actually, it was Nap who clued me in on that thread! A double thanks for that.
You know Kelly, how I feel about all this (see my PM). You have been such a good buddy to Ruddigore and for this, I am truly grateful. Like R said, you are so much further ahead now with all that studying you have already accomplished. You can do this! We will all be pulling for you!

That's what I need - a secretary!!!! And yours is soooo terrific. You are a lucky young man to be sure.
Thanks to both of you (and everyone else on the forum) for your support. I never would have made it this far without you. I know I can go the distance (cue theme music) but some days it's just easier than others.
Oh, and Jane Austen is awesome. And Virginia Woolf.
If you guys are out at all tonight - be safe on the roads. Better yet, stay home.

You're welcome. I was happy to be able to find the link to the thread about completing a Literature major for you. There may have been more conversations about it, so I would recommend doing some searching of the older forum posts.
I can't tell you how impressed I am that all of you have even attempted this exam! I know it would have taken me a ton of hard work and that I still would not have done nearly as well as all of you have.
Kelly, my congratulations on doing so well! I think you should be really proud of yourself for earning 18 credits. I also really like the idea of using this one as a practice run. I may have to do that, too. It would be nice to have a good idea of what to expect for the next time. Are you at all tempted to take the available courses instead?

Thanks so much for the kind words, NAP. I think I'll try the GRE 1 more time before thinking about taking the available courses - just because I figure I can't do any worse and could do so much better. Between now and April, I have to bang out Principles of Finance and Precalc so I'll be busy. Then, I'll start refreshing my brain in Feb/March for the April test. After that, who knows? Maybe I'll just stick my head in the oven! Just kidding.
Have a great day,
Kelly
