Question about Approval to Test Letters/ECEs

I have taken 3 ECE's and have never been asked for my approval to test letter. Actually you won't be able to register with Pearson Vue for the exam until they get notified by EC that you have paid. This usually takes 24-48 hrs after you register. I have registered as early as 2 days after registration. As long as you are cleared to register in their system Pearson Vue doesn't seem to need the letter, so I wouldn't worry about it. When you register for the exam, just below it on the list, will be the practice exam, if there is one. If you don't see it listed then they don't have a practice exam. Most of their exams don't have practice exams. You may find some comparable study materials on IC. I will also tell you have never put much stock in the study guide EC sends as they are never much. I also don't use the books recommended unless I can find them used. I just use what books I have or can find used that may fit the material. I would recommend that you google for podcasts and lectures on video. A lot of universities have these out there for free. Good Luck!
