Your CLEP scores do not transfer as part of the transcript. Neither would any other credits taken elsewhere and transferred to the CC. That's why when you apply to EC (or any other college), you must submit transcripts from every institution attended plus any score transcripts for CLEP/Dantes/AP and any other sources of credit (like professional certifications).
Even though my 2nd B&M school's transcript listed the courses I had taken at the 1st B&M plus credits granted for my AP scores, I still had to send Excelsior the transcripts from the 1st B&M plus AP in order to receive transfer credits for them. This would be the case no matter what school you enroll in after the CC - to get credit, you must use transcripts from the original granting institution or original standardized examination organization.
The thing about CLEP and other standardized exams is that it's up to the schools on whether or not the exams are accepted for credit, and for how much credit. EC takes Dantes exams and assigns letter grades; TESC takes Dantes exams but only as pass/fail credit. Some universities accept AP scores for credit but not CLEP or Dantes.
In your case, if your CC only grants 3 credits for the CLEP A&I, it won't affect how many credits EC grants for the exam. I took AP English and AP Biology in high school, but the 1st B&M did not grant any credit for AP Biology no matter what your score. Excelsior gave me 8 credits for that same score!
