I would recommend finishing your first draft of each essay by 30 minutes. That will give you time to further develop any sentences/paragraphs, spellcheck and grammar check, etc. If you can do it under 30, I think that's best... it's hard to really review and make good changes if you're under the time pressure.
Thanks! Timing the essays should really help! I don't know how long it normally takes me to get a first draft but now I have a target!
