I’ve filled out the template with my details and pasted it below for everyone to check out.
So, a little about me: I’m working full-time and I am also a husband and dad, which keeps my life pretty busy. The good news is, I get quite a bit of downtime at work that I can use to study. I think I can commit to at least 4 hours of study daily, and on some days, I think I can manage up to 10 hours. I’ve been working in my field for over 20 years, so I’m bringing some experience and knowledge to the table that might be useful (or not
The main reason I want to earn this degree is that I’ve hit a bit of a ceiling in my career. A BA is what most employers are asking for to take the next step, so this feels like the right time to go for it.
Budget wise, I’m good with Sophia.org and Study.com as they fit well into my monthly expenses. For UMPI, I’d love to complete everything within two terms. My goal is to have it all wrapped up by end of this year (ideally August, but that might be a bit of a stretch).
I do have some degrees from Europe, but I think getting them accredited for credit might be more trouble than it’s worth. It feels easier (and faster) to just complete the courses online.
Does my plan seem realistic? Is there anything you’d suggest I adjust? I’d love to hear any advice or tips to help me stay on track.
Thanks again for all the support! This forum has been such a great resource for me already.
Best,
Chris
