If you have a good mastery of the English language and can read a passage of poetry or a play and answer questions about it, then A & I Lit is THE easiest exam to take. A & I also requires a lot of stamina- you will be reading classic literature the whole time, and most people work up until the last minute. It's really the only exam you don't need to study for since it's a comprehension exam. All of the other CLEP exams are subject exams and would require a lot of face-in-book time (for me they did).
Don't underestimate A & I Lit if you feel shaky about what I described, my husband only passed that with a 50 and about suffered a heart attack before it was over! He said about 15 minutes into it he really didn't want to read anything else, and it took every bit of concentration to focus in and even then he did a lot of guessing.
However, I think it's the easiest 6 credits through CLEP.
