In most cases, the grade you get on ACE- and alt- credit sources such as Sophia does not matter, as long as it's good enough to pass and be accepted. There are a few notable exceptions: rarely, institutions do record grades for those credits (an exception to the general rule I posted above), and sometimes selective graduate degree programs may look at those scores if you have few graded credits. There are also cases where colleges have higher standards required for acceptance of ACE credits (such as "B" grade equivalency) than ACE themselves requires ("C" equivalent). Thus, it's a good idea to try to get at least an 80% in ACE credits if possible. Overall, though, these rare conditions probably won't impact you.
