Purdue Global has little to do with the actual Purdue University. They are not the same thing.

... but I'd argue that Purdue University Global would be perceived as a better university by people not knowledgable with the history of PUG, as compared with, say, Western Governors University, Thomas Edison State University, University of Maine at Presque Isle, etc.

Thats certainly an opinion, but I imagine many - including myself - would disagree. To each their own!
