At UMPI, one course can fill multiple requirements. But only 1 course can fill each requirement. For instance, let's say that you took College Math, Algebra, Statistics, Precalculus, and Calculus from Sophia. In the GEC requirements, there are 2 slots where these can fit. Depending on what other classes you transfer in, math would account for only 3 or 6 credits in your GEC, even though you have 15 math credits.
