Master's program at UMPI with an existing UoPeople BS-CS degree

There was a time here that this forum believed they wouldn't accept the UoPeople credits towards a bachelor (due to NA), but now we know they accept at least some. You have nothing to lose by applying, it is free to apply (aside from sending over your UoPeople transcript). If you do, please keep us posted.

Oh, this is definitely worth a try. Is there maybe a list of transfer credits and equivalency I can use for the masters program at UMPI (in case I get accepted for their masters program, using my UoPeople BS  CS degree).

So, yes, you should be fine with getting a Bachelor's degree from them. You would not be able to get a Master's degree because you won't have a degree that UMPI cares about/thinks is real.

Do you then know if any RA Universities accept UoPeople credits or accept UoPeople Bachelor's degree for their Master's program?

Are you in the US, and what type of master degree are you looking for?

Also, to confirm your objective is to complete your UoPeople bachelor in CS then earn a US RA master degree?
Hello,

yes, this is exactly my objective, sadly I am not in the US, if you thought about WGU - which would have been the perfect university for that matter.

I need an RA masters degree, but I am already enrolled in the UoPeople BS CS program, it would be a shame getting a second BS degree. I do not really have so much money for something unnecessary, but I really need the BS degree. I would have cancelled UoPeople BS if I wasn't already so invested in it. Do not want to waste my effort.

Just transfer the credits and get the RA BS/BA.

You mean, transfer my BS CS credits from UoPeople to Umpi without finishing UoPeople?

In this thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid401833 the concept is presented as completing the degree, along with all residency requirements, and then adding an extra Computer Science minor using only transferred courses.

Is this how I understood that what was talked about in the link -> If you transfer all necessary courses for the CS Minor, you will just get the Minor. But if you need to take 1-2 courses from that minor because you couldn't transfer it, then you have no way to take it because it is actually not offered through YourPace?

I don't really care if the masters degree is in something specific. I already have 6 years of professional work experience as a software developer and I am doing the degrees for financial and immigration purposes. Well, the masters degree does not have to be computer science related either. It can be business related. Something like an MBA. But, the most important thing for me is the cost of it. If its the cheapest one, and it is RA or RA equivalent in canadian standards, it would work for me. In fact, even ENEB MS degree would work, but I read here that ENEB does definitely not accept UoPeople BS degrees for their MS programs.
