How are you sending the emails? Are you using an email client on your computer? The web mail interface? Saying "there are no errors" sounds like you're doing it over SMTP/POP3/IMAP. If that's what you're doing, don't. Use the web interface. It's quite possible that they've configured the server to not send email remotely if you're not connected to a Pierpont campus connection. I know someone with a free email account that is exactly like that: they can use whatever client they want to receive, but not send, if they're roaming. If they are at home and connected to that specific ISP, they can both send and receive. If they want to send an email while roaming, they must sign into the web interface.
