If you're a decent coder, you shouldn't find discrete math too challenging. A lot of the boolean algebra will seem familiar, just formalizing the kind of logical manipulations you're already likely doing. The emphasis on proofs can be daunting, but there's lots of help available on the web.
Also, if you're basing your fears on how you did in math class as a teen, I think you'll find you will be a very different student as an adult. I'd go into it assuming that like any other subject, an appropriate amount of study will allow you to master the material.
