The PUG Analytics plan guide on the Wiki is very helpful and I'm very grateful!
There are some classes that are not listed as having alternative options: IN300, IN301, IN400, IN401, IN402, MM325, and of course IN498 which is the Capstone.
However, there are also a number of specializations, and the wiki doesn't seem to notice them. Are these optional? Whether so or if not, I'd be curious for alternatives for them!
If someone has any info, or could guide me on how to find out for myself, I'd be extremely appreciative.
Best,
Nick

Welcome to the board, please provide more info about yourself with the details on the addendum and template here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works
I would recommend taking some time to review posts, threads, WIKI for more details, here's a quick read to bring you up to speed: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ed-Version
Last but not least, to answer your question, you can't transfer in those classes you've mentioned, especially the Capstone as there are residency requirements for each degree, at least 25% of the program must be done at PUG.

I wrote the Wiki PUG Analytics degree plan, so I’d be happy to answer any questions.
The specializations for this degree are optional. However, choosing a specialization will require you to take additional courses to complete your degree.
Courses IN300, IN301, IN400, IN401, IN402, and MM325 do not currently have any alternative credit options. If you happen to find a suitable alternative for any of these courses, please let us know.

Basically, it really depends on the degree and institution... Prospective students need to decide which classes they want to transfer into the degree by taking into account the max transfers each institutions allow. I would focus on creating a spreadsheet with plans already in place and customizing it to your liking. I rarely recommend deviating from the existing plans, only modify classes that you can and really want to change for something else.
Majority of the time, the classes that transfer into an institution are the general education and electives as they want you to complete the major within the institution for residency credits. Thus... Some institutions require you to take the final 30 credits at the upper level (senior year) to finish off the degree. Also, you've got competency based degrees that do not have many general ed/electives, same strategy, max the transfer up to 75% or 90 credits...

Your Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
Your Age: 22
What kind of degree do you want /Career goals?: Analytics seems like a good path. My desires are twofold; 1.) to work remotely or otherwise easily be able to take time off to travel, and 2.) I want to work towards greater equality for all. I believe freedom of information and equality thereof is huge in this endeavor, so I think it's a very good start.

With that budget, are you going to go for Financial Aid? Pell Grant and whatever else you qualify for?
Basically, I would highly recommend investigating TESU, WGU for their programs and see which one is on top.

Thank you BJ,
I just did the cost estimator for financial aid and it suggested I could qualify for about $7,000 in direct federal loans.
I'll investigate TESU and WGU and see what I uncover. Thank you.

Do you have any information about if the TESU or the WGU Data Analytics BS would have any disadvantages or advantages? Seems like WGU is the cheapest.

TESU (Thomas Edison State University)
TESU doesn’t provide a traditional degree plan for its Data Science program because it includes courses from Statistics.com. However, it is still possible to map out the requirements. If you enjoy the learning style and content at Statistics.com, this could be a good fit for you.
WGU (Western Governors University)
WGU’s IT programs are heavily focused on industry certifications. For the Data Management/Data Analyst path, the Udacity WGU Data Analyst Nanodegree is a key component and counts as six courses. I generally recommend completing the Nanodegree independently before enrolling at WGU. While it’s included in WGU tuition, completing it in advance can save time and help avoid the cost of an extra term.
SNHU (Southern New Hampshire University)
Though you didn’t ask about this program, it’s another option to consider. However, the downside is that it takes 10 months to complete and costs $10,000. The upside is that, beyond the general education requirements, all you need to transfer into the major and major electives are a couple of easy certificate exams.

PUG has a bachelor's degree in Analytics. They are ACE friendly and have 2 options for completing the degree.
