In some ways, they kind of remind me U of Phoenix. Much of their revenue stems from their tuition share agreements which are under scrutiny by the government. For profit colleges have been given a great deal of scrutiny more recently than in the past which appears to be a good thing since so many have closed up shop. All colleges are looking to making a profit. That is how they stay in business, but the marketing efforts from many for profit schools has been questionable. The graduation and retention rates from many were also abysmal. It will be interesting to see how GCU fairs over the next 5-10 years. U of P was massive at one point and now they seem to be struggling. I wonder if their reputation will ever be much of anything.
