While I don't have experience, I would have assumed the opposite - that the Organizational Leadership major, and the topics covered under it, would both align with the "business" category of degrees and be an advantage for someone applying to leadership positions?
Organizational Leadership is very different than a degree in Business Administration where you have numerous courses in accounting, economics. HR, marketing. management, etc. You don't complete those business core courses in leadership degrees typically.
