I am right outside NYC(East) and it's super expensive here, so I probably won't even come back to NY if the Salary in Jersey is right lol. Honestly willing to just follow my career to wherever it takes me, and this could save me a heap of time and money going the alt credit route, I also have family there.
On a side note for anyone in the future reading it, if you use alt credit it must be on a college transcript read this via a Reddit source, so not sure how true that is or not.
TESU has a NJ CPA path - https://www.tesu.edu/business/undergradu...ountingcpa
We have had people on here obtain this through alternative credits - as you mentioned you can't just earn credits, they have to be transcribed by a college/university. I suspect that what works for TESU also would apply to UMPI - meaning if you earn credits through, lets say, SDC they need to be added to your transcript (they can't just be on credly or the such).
If you're truly concerned, take the non-accounting (eg. Gen-Eds) through alt credits and the CPA required courses in a traditional format.
Yea, this is my exact plan, going to take my major classes at the school also need to wait on my transfer Eval as I am also not sure which classes will transfer to what.

That means, you can transfer in the rest and complete the major at UMPI. If you need additional credits and you want them to be RA, you can add another minor, such as MIS or Management, Project Management or something that you're interested in. Get to the 150 credits with both BA Accounting and what you currently have on the table, plus anything else that interest you...
Really great Idea to Add minors, their MAOL also doesn't seem that bad assuming its mostly papers, and RA.
