I will look into your suggestions on the info lit class and the exams, barcotta. And you're right, I do tend to over-analyze things, and unfortunately I have had a couple of the Big Things in life go the wrong way for me, which makes me gun shy. Anyone who had gone through a bankruptcy because of $80,000 in medical bills (after a lifetime of perfect credit) would tend to be cautious when it comes to money. But you're right too, originalbigjim, this kind of investment in myself will likely pay off, despite the momentary uncertainty.
